Rapper 50 Cent was booed off stage at the Reading Festival on Sunday night after playing for just 25 minutes. The star was pelted with plastic bottles by the crowd, as he took to the stage on the final day of the weekend event. One audience member also hurled a camping chair on stage during the set. 50 Cent was the second act to face a hostile reaction from the crowd after Finnish rockers The Rasmus were booed off stage just one song into their set.
The band, who had a huge hit with In the Shadows in April, suffered at the hands of a merciless main stage crowd.
At the festival's sister event in Leeds, Morrissey topped the bill on the last of the three days. More than 52,000 festivalgoers watched the former Smiths frontman perform new material from his album You Are The Quarry as well as Smiths classics including How Soon Is Now and Shoplifters Of The World Unite. Other highlights in Leeds on Sunday included a set from The Libertines, while in Reading chart-toppers The Streets and US rockers Green Day took to the stage.
