It was announced in a statement to The Associated Press yesterday that 50 Cent will be making a donation to UNICEF to help with that organisation's relief efforts during the problems in Libya.
A representative for the star said: 'In light of the ongoing events in Libya, 50 Cent will be making a donation to UNICEF, which is providing vital relief supplies to meet the needs of women and children at risk during this crisis.'
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, performed at a private gig at the 2005 Venice Film Festival that was later linked to the Gaddafi family.
Gaddafi is battling rebels who are going against against his rule, and he also faces an investigation for possible war crimes.
Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Usher and Nelly Furtado all announced last week that they would be donating the money they earned from participating in private concerts connected to Gaddafi to charity.
