50 Cent Forgets Chief Keef Beef, Compares Him To Son

It takes a lot of cojones to stand-up 50 Cent. Luckily for Chief Keef, the battle-tested rap titan has a soft spot for the teenaged, Chicago rap rook.

"As far as Chief Keef is concerned, I'm a Chief Keef fan. I like what he is because he's something that's been completely created by the environment, that's what hip-hop was initially," Fif said on Thursday (November 29) when he appeared on the Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show on Power 106 in Los Angeles. "His age says my son would be Chief Keef if he didn't make it."

Despite his fondness for the "I Don't Like" spitter, 50 was plenty disappointed back on November 15 when he waited on the set of Keef's "Hate Bein' Sober "video with Wiz Khalifa. "Man, he didn't show up," 50 said, noting that he personally reached out to CK and members of his team to try to get him out to his first major video shoot. "He's so hot in his circle that they felt he could actually do that. He didn't respond. The video still ain't shot."

The morning after the planned shoot, 50 hopped on Twitter and speculated that Keef's parent label Interscope may be inclined to release him from his contract after a stunt like that. With Keef's debut LP Finally Rich slated to hit stores on December 18, Fif questions how effective the rising rapper can be if he doesn't have a legitimate single or video in place. "How you gonna sell records like that? So really you're just saying, 'Okay you can sell CDs based off your viral clip,' " he questioned.

Though 50 is quick to draw the line in the sand and mark his enemies, it doesn't seem like he will rival Keef any time soon, but French Montana is a whole other story.

The two have been trading Twitter barbs since October and during a separate radio interview on Wednesday night with Boston native Mister Peter Parker, 50 likened French to his most famous of rap rivals. "That's your new Ja Rule right now, he's gonna be your new Ja Rule."
