50 Cent admits he has no relationship with his oldest son.
The American rapper became a proud father to Marquise in 1997 with ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. In the past 50, real name Curtis James Jackson III, has credited his son for inspiring his career, but now confesses that they no longer speak.
"Me and my son, we don't have a relationship anymore. It's based on his mom. He's adopted her way of thinking," 50 told the American edition of GQ magazine.
50 also has son Sire with his former girlfriend Daphne Joy. Earlier this year the 38-year-old star posted a series of cute snaps of the young tot, the first time he appeared to publically acknowledge having a second child.
"I don't have anything negative around the concept of kids," he added.
50 isn't bitter about past events though, and is a big fan of implementing ways to be more positive into his daily life including creating vision boards. He' previously published a series of self-help books including The 50th Law and Formula 50: A 6-Week Workout and Nutrition Plan That Will Transform Your Life.
The In Da Club singer is also a big advocate of regarding your partner as your best friend, and says this should never be forgotten when you're in a relationship.
"I think friendship is the strongest form of relationship," he smiled.
"Don't ever forget to be friends. And you be conscious. Because there's a point that your friendship would develop that it has so much value that it would become priceless. And at that point, you should consider marriage."
As well as a successful music and writing career, 50 tried his hand at baseball earlier this week - with less than impressive results.
Throwing the opening pitch before a game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Mets, 50's shot flew off target and nearly hit a cameraman. It has since been dubbed one of the worst throws of all time.
