50 CENT has given wannabe rapper Joaquin Phoenix some tips on how to launch a successful hip-hop career.
The 33 year-old rapper, also know as Fiddy, said the former actor should draw on his own life experiences if he wants to make it as a rap star.
He said: "He should write about the things that he has real interest in, the things he has been influenced by. Because, when an artist writes something that's totally away from their experience period, it can't be embraced."
Phoenix, 34, announced his retirement from acting last October and said he was "following his heart" by going through with the career change.
But his debut performance at a Las Vegas club in January was slammed by critics with Phoenix blaming his nerves for a "terrible" performance.
