Adam Levine engaged

Adam Levine is engaged to model Behati Prinsloo.

The 34-year-old singer recently reconciled with the 24-year-old Victoria's Secret Angel after they split in the spring.

People magazine reports Adam has now proposed.

A spokesperson for the star confirmed the news Tuesday.

"Adam Levine and his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo are excited to announce they are engaged to be married," his representative said.

"The couple recently reunited and Adam proposed this weekend in Los Angeles."

No further details had been released at press time.

Adam had somewhat of a reputation as a Lothario.

The Maroon 5 singer has been linked romantically to a number of high-profile celebrities in the past including Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz and model Anne V.

He began dating Behati Prinsloo in June of 2012.

Reports surfaced earlier this year Adam's family had encouraged him to pop the question. It's a sentiment which seems to be echoed by Behati's family.

The model's mother called the rock star a "fine man" during an interview late last year.

Adam joked about his perfect date back in February.

He said his approach is to act miserly, which allows for him to see whether or not the girl is special.

"It's a good, spontaneous, romantic thing you can do that's also cost-effective. What if you don't like the person? It's only the first date," he told fashion website Refinery 29.
