Astro from the "X Factor" has made the leap to scripted TV, so what's good for them must be good for
According to Entertainment Weekly, Levine, 33, would play a contemporary character and half of a couple referred to as "The Lovers." The magazine said that the show's producers are so enamored with the inked-up "Moves Like Jagger" singer that they have agreed to schedule shooting for the episode around his summer touring schedule. Though he's busy being a mentor on "The Voice" now, Levine has already lined up a series of spring and summer festival dates and gigs with Maroon 5.
The second season of "American Horror Story" is set to premiere in October with original cast members Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe returning as different characters.
For now, Levine is building his "A" team during the battle rounds on "The Voice," which has been locked in a ratings battle with rival "American Idol" since scoring a huge season two debut in February following a plush post-Super Bowl XLVI slot. In addition to the "Idol" rivalry, Levine has also emerged as one-half of a budding TV bromance with fellow judge Blake Shelton. The married country star recently admitted that he has a "man crush" on the often-unshaven Levine and joked that he wants to "kiss him so bad."
