Adam Levine confesses he is committed to "beating" Blake Shelton.
The Maroon 5 frontman and the country musician are both co-panellists on hit TV singing competition The Voice US.
Blake released Adam's phone number on social media last week, and it appears the prank has fostered a heightened sense of healthy competition.
"What people at home have to understand is it's not really about us beating each other — maybe it's more about me beating Blake! That's really the only one that's important to me," Adam joked to Entertainment Weekly.
Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have recently signed on to become mentors in season seven of The Voice.
And Adam can't wait to welcome the legendary musicians to the judging panel.
"I've been a fan of Gwen's and Pharrell's for so long — they're both such inspirational people," he gushed. "They're incredible, and it's such a score to be able to get them on this show."
Gwen and Pharrell performed her song Hollaback Girl on the American version of the show Monday night, a hit tune the Happy singer co-wrote.
And the No Doubt songstress recently shared her delight over scooping up a judge's seat on The Voice.
"What am I not excited about?" Gwen gushed to host Carson Daly. "It's incredible!"
The stars will join current judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and take over from Colombian popstar Shakira and Usher.
