Adam Levine literally "picks up and throws" gossip magazines if he sees his bandmates reading them.
The Maroon 5 frontman understands people are interested in his life as he is a public figure, but he has no desire to know every detail about another star's existence. For that reason he has a rule when it comes to hearing about such things.
"I have a very strict rule that I don't allow gossip magazines in my house or in my vicinity if I ever see any of my bandmates holding one I literally pick it up and throw it… I just don't know why everybody's so interested in it," he fumed. "The people in these magazines, I guess I include myself, we're not that interesting. If people were as interested in cool important things as what dress Kim Kardashian is wearing we'd probably live in a utopia."
For the same reason Adam now won't discuss his personal life in public. He recently split from Victoria's Secret model Anne V but won't reveal if he is dating anyone else.
The star is also uninterested in reality TV shows, explaining he doesn't watch many programmes at all. He is a judge on singing contest The Voice and it appealed to him as the environment is so alien.
"I don't watch television. That's why I love being on The Voice because it feels so foreign and bizarre," he told Australia's Kyle and Jackie O radio show.
"I'd better start watching American Horror Story because I'm going to be on it. I like artfulness, I don't need to watch something going to the supermarket. It's so dumb."
