Adele has shot down tabloid rumours suggesting she recently rejected an offer to collaborate with Beyoncé Knowles, insisting she would "never disrespect" the superstar.
Recent reports suggested the Crazy In Love icon had reached out to Adele to propose plans for the singers to team up in the studio, but the British soul sensation wasn't interested.
Adele has now spoken out to clear up the claims, revealing she has turned down duets with some artists, but she is such a big fan of Beyoncé, she would never miss out on such an opportunity.
"There's a rumour going round that I turned Beyoncé down," she tells British DJ Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show, "which I would never be so disrespectful as to do. I'd never disrespect her like that."
During the interview, which is due to air on Wednesday (18Nov15), Adele also discusses the artists she considers her contemporaries.
"I love Lana Del Rey," she admits. "I love her very, very much. I've never met her though, but I just think she... like stirs my soul. I love Alabama Shakes, and I think (singer) Brittany (Howard) is, the way I first felt when Etta James, when I first heard her (sic)."
Adele goes on to name rapper Drake, electronic band Chvrches and rockers The Maccabees as other acts she likes.
