Adele is having singing lessons with a top US coach in a bid to maintain her sensational voice.
The British songstress has enjoyed success with her critically acclaimed second album 21, which has become an international hit.
Despite being renowned for her talented vocals, the star is reportedly still having singing lessons in a bid to keep her voice in faultless condition.
The songstress is currently working with voice coach Ron Anderson, who counts Alicia Keys and Joss Stone amongst his clientele.
The expert teaches an alternative method that enables the vocal chords to avoid damage and Adele hopes his routine will prevent a repeat of the problems she faced earlier this month which led her to cancel an American tour.
'There are commonly two approaches singers take. They are called 'singing through your chest' or 'singing through your head'. 'Singing through your chest can increase the chances of calluses and nodules appearing on the vocal chords,' a source explained to British newspaper The Sun. 'Adele sings more through her chest at the moment.'
The 23-year-old singer has previously given up smoking in a bid to preserve her voice. The star has admitted that she found it difficult to quit the unhealthy habit.
' gave up smoking for two month. It was f**king grim. I stopped smoking, drinking, eating or drinking citrus, spicy food and caffeine. It was so f**king boring. My voice was better when I wasn't smoking. Within a week I noticed it had changed, but I'd rather my voice be a bit sh*t so I can have a laugh,' she said.
