Adele is 'trying to be a veggie'

The 'Set Fire to the Rain' hitmaker has been inspired to turn vegetarian by her pet bulldog Louis, because every time she looks into his eyes she feels guilty about eating meat.

Speaking on UK station BBC Radio 1, the singer ' who is currently recovering from a haemorrhage on her vocal chords and laryngitis ' said: "I'm trying to be veggie. For what I want to do next year I have to be really healthy and stuff like that.

"I can find another way of getting all the stuff out of meat you need. I hate that tofu stuff though. It's rank. Whenever I'm about to eat meat I always see my little dog's eyes."

The 23-year-old singer wouldn't reveal what she is planning for the next year, but she is set to return to performing in the coming weeks, and will resume a US tour she was forced to pull out of in June because of her problems with her voice.

Adele also said she won't join micro-blogging website twitter because she is afraid of the outrageous things she might say online.

She explained: "I don't want to tell everybody what I'm doing all the time. I've got such a loose mouth anyway, I put my foot in it all the time!"
