Adele, Leona Lewis and Jessie J are among a host of big names who have paid tribute to The BRIT School on its 20th anniversary.
The famous performing arts school whose former students include Adele, Leona Lewis, Jessie J, The Kooks, Kate Nash, The Feeling, Katie Melua and Amy Winehouse is this week celebrating its 20th anniversary after opening in 1991.
Speaking about the school, Adele told The Sun: "I hate to think where I'd have ended up if I hadn't gone to the Brit School. It's inspiring to be around 700 kids who want to be something, rather than 700 who just want to get pregnant so they get their own flat.
She added: "I remember wanting to go to Sylvia Young Theatre School because Baby Spice went there but my mum couldn't afford it. But I loved the Brit School. It was a bit like Fame sometimes — you got people doing their ballet stretches and singers having sing-offs."
X Factor winner Leona Lewis also praised the school, adding: ''My time there was invaluable. Being in a creative environment all day fuelled my passion to have a creative career."
Meanwhile, Adele has revealed that she has reconnected with the ex-boyfriend who inspired her recent album '21'.
