The British star's hit record-breaking album 21 was knocked down to number two by the Sheffield band while Lady Gaga's album Born This Way dropped to number three.
Adele's album 21 has now been in the UK charts for 20 weeks and it has broken several records during its time there.
Her debut album 19 has spent a staggering 117 weeks in charts and is currently at number five.
Martin Talbot, the managing director of the Official Charts Company, said: 'British talent is clearly in very good health indeed.'
