The singer said that while she doesn't get caught up in her fame, she can't help but get teary-eyed at her mother's reaction to it all.
She told Q Magazine, 'That stuff goes right over my head. I'm 22. So those things don't really interest me! I just love singing.
'[But] I'm really proud of making some people really proud in England. I've never seen my mum so happy. She's like, 'Oh well, this is just ridiculous now, surely not, f**k off Adele'. It makes me... really emotional actually.'
Talking about the enormity of her success, she added, 'It's pretty overwhelming. It's very extreme. I wasn't ever expecting any success like this.
'But if I listened to it all and Googled it all I'd have a bit of a heart attack, I reckon 'cos really it's the small things in life that satisfy me.'
