The Grammy-winner's new single, Rolling In The Deep, ended up at number two when US singer Bruno Mars claimed the top spot with his single Grenade for the second week in a row.
Bruno Mars also saw his album Doo-Wops and Hooligans take the number one album slot after he sold 86,000 copies.
His debut single Just The Way You Are is also still in the top 20 in the UK at number 18.
P Diddy and his band Diddy-Dirty Money entered the singles charts at number four with their new single Coming Home.
Britney Spears was also in the top ten with her single Hold It Against Me at number six.
