Adele is reportedly "taking her time" to figure out who to work with on her new album.
The British singer's last album was the worldwide smash, 21, which was released in 2011. Since then she hasn't released any new music other than the theme tune to James Bond movie Skyfall in 2012, and it seems fans will have to wait a fair bit longer to hear something from the 26-year-old.
Despite hinting in May last year that there would be a new record in 2014, it has been claimed that Adele hasn't even chosen a producer for the album yet.
"Adele was awesome, but I don't know if we'll be working together," producer Emile Haynie told British newspaper the Daily Star. "We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time."
Emile has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Kanye West and Bruno Mars. After meeting with Adele, the producer is keen to add her name to his résumé, but accepts that the decision is out of his hands.
"I'd push for it to happen, but we'll have to wait and see," he explained.
Adele has taken an extended break from her career after giving birth to son Angelo in October 2012 with boyfriend Simon Konecki, who she began dating earlier that year.
It was rumoured that the couple had married in 2013 but it has never been confirmed by a representative for the star.
