Adele has joked Taylor Swift and her squad would kick her butt with their "Amazonian" legs.
The British singer returned to the spotlight with a bang at the end of 2015 thanks to her new album 25, which boasts singles Hello and When We Were Young. Having made such a big impact on the music industry, her pal and talk show host James Corden proposed Adele form her own gang to rival that of Taylor's, which includes the likes of Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.
"If you put together a squad that was you, Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, and she'd bring Amy Schumer, Emma Stone," James quipped during the Carpool Karaoke segment of his The Late Late Show. "Taylor Swift's squad would f**k themselves."
"They're Amazonian," Adele laughed. "They're all so tall. They'd just kick us with their long legs!"
But one area where Adele would be on an equal, if not higher, level is with her vocals. During her and James' car ride she belted out some of her best hits, like heartbreaking track Someone Like You. She also did an unlikely cover after James appeared to prompt her.
"I heard a rumour, which may be surprising to some fans, that you're quite the rapper," he told his guest.
"I'm not that talented on me own," she replied, but surprised James by then giving a quick and accurate rendition of Nicki Minaj's rap verse in Kanye West's song Monster. Even Nicki was impressed, sharing her amusement on Twitter following the show.
"Adele is mad ratchet. I can't take her #UK #WutsGood (sic)" she wrote.
She may have more of an eclectic taste in music now, but Adele used to be a huge Spice Girls fan when she was younger. So much so that her 10th birthday party was dedicated to the British pop group, especially her favourite member, Geri Halliwell.
