Adele has hinted that she will record the new James Bond theme tune.
The British singer revealed she is returning to the recording studio later this year. The latest Bond movie, currently known as Bond 23, is due to be released in 2012 and a big name is expected to perform the title song.
''m going back in the studio in November. Fingers crossed,' Adele replied when British talk show host Jonathon Ross asked what she is working on next. 'Well, this is actually a theme, what I've got to do. Wow, that's really giving something away.'
Ross then began humming the iconic James Bond theme tune, causing Adele to blush and cover her mouth.
'No, it's a concept,' she quickly added.
Stars including Sir Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey, Alicia Keys, Madonna, Tina Turner and Carly Simon have all lent their voices to Bond songs in the past.
The 23-year-old star went on to speak about her love life.
She revealed she suffered heartbreak earlier this year, but has vowed not to document the failed romance in a future album.
'To be honest, I got a bit burnt back in May, around my birthday,' she explained. 'And I know he would be over the moon if I wrote a record about him, but no way is that boy getting a record about him. No way.'
Adele's albums 19 and 21 were both autobiographical.
