Adele doesn't want to look like anyone else, despite having battled her own body issues.
The British singer is known for her flame haired locks and voluptuous figure, but the 27-year-old admits she does feel self-conscious about her shape.
"I do have body image problems for sure but I've had them all my life," she told Jenny Eliscu's SiriusXM radio show on Monday (16Nov15). "There's bigger issues going on in the world than how I might feel about myself. But mainly there's only one of you, so why would you want to look like anyone else? Why would you want the same hairstyle as everyone else? And have the same opinions as everyone else?"
Adele welcomed her son Angelo in October, 2012 with partner Simon Konecki and like every woman, her body went through a multitude of changes during pregnancy and post-birth, but the Rolling in the Deep singer revealed during the chat that her son helped her keep everything in perspective.
"I think everything else in my life now being about someone else and not about myself (keeps things in perspective)," she said. "Now he really slows the world down for me, which I appreciate when I'm doing this kind of thing (promoting) and when I'm not, you know, everyday life is fast as well."
Adele recently admitted her looks had received the attention of bosses at a number of world famous brands, who wanted her to endorse its products, but the star had no interest in being a spokesperson for any company.
"I don't want to be the face of anything," the Grammy winner told the New York Daily News. "If I wanted to just be famous, like be a celebrity, then I wouldn't do music. I've been offered everything. And I don't want to water myself down. I want to do one thing."
In 2013, the singer was reportedly offered a $19 million deal with beauty giant L'Oreal thanks to her perfect eyeliner and well groomed locks, and it was just one of many offers she received.
"Commercials, nail (polishes), shoes, bags, fashion lines... hair products, being in movies, being the face of a car," she recalled.
