Akon Talks "Stadium," The Story Behind "Angel" and Movies in Exclusive ARTISTdirect.com Clip

R&B's smoothest (and best-dressed) superstar Akon sits down with ARTISTdirect for this exclusive interview.

In the clip, he talks about his brand-new album, Stadium, which is due out in early 2011, so keep your pants on, because it's coming soon. Here, Akon talks about the origination and origins of the single, "Angel," which he worked on with DJ/producer David Guetta. The song is essentially about the person in your life who walks into a room and just lights it up! The song is probably his best to date and should light up the charts, the radio request airwaves and your life! While the pop music world has been left with a massive void after the death of Michael Jackson, Akon's new tunes are making that loss a lot easier to bear.

Akon also talks about the album title is inspired by the fact that he wanted to share the experiences that he enjoys overseas, where he winds up playing venues that often hold 50,000 to 100,000 people, to his fans in the US. He says he wanted to grab that energy and bring it to his stateside fan base.
