Akon to start at Capital FM this Saturday

95.8 Capital FM has signed the worldwide multi-platinum selling artist Akon to present its ground-breaking new Saturday evening show.

Akon will start his brand new weekly show on Saturday 13th February 2010 at 7pm.

Since the release of his first album in 2004, Akon has enjoyed phenomenal global acclaim and become known as one of the most successful R&B performers of the 21st century. He has sold over 7 million albums worldwide and picked up numerous awards including three World Music Awards, alongside five Grammy Award nominations. Once again, Capital Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan & Lisa Snowdon is London's number one commercial breakfast show, attracting over 1 million listeners each week and celebrating a 25% increase over the last year.
