Alesha Dixon gives Madonna her video

ALESHA DIXON has revealed that she sent a copy of her new video to Madonna.

The former Mysteeq star pays tribute to the Material Girl in the video for her new song, Let's Get Excited.

And she said she wanted to show Madonna her appreciation by sending her a copy.

She said: "I wanted to do something that celebrates the Madonna dance move in the video, so we did 'Vogue'.

"She probably doesn't care, but I'd love it if in 15 years time someone did a tribute for me."

The singer said video shoot had unintentionally ended up resembling a workout session and could be used to help people get fit.

She added: "It's a really good way to encourage people to exercise while having fun.

"I wasn't thinking about it being a cardio workout when I wrote it, but the amount of sweating that goes on when dancing to this song is a good way to encourage people to keep fit."
Let's Get Excited is released on May 11.
