The countdown to Christmas kicked off yesterday with a magic moment of Alexandra Burke and swarms of Londoners singing along to top Christmas hits on the Southbank.
The Quality Street Christmas sing-a-long filled the banks of the River Thames with tuneful renditions of Christmas classics including Silent Night, The X Factor star's own No.1 hit 'Hallelujah' and of course the Quality Street favourite, 'Magic Moments'.
Passers-by and surprised onlookers enjoyed Christmas hits with the nation's favourite songstress in a winter wonderland complete with Christmas trees, snow and a church choir.
Alexandra Burke said: 'Today was great fun! Being able to sing side by side with my fans was really special – I am now feeling very festive and can't wait for Christmas!'
Brett Stephenson, Marketing Manager for Quality Street, commented: 'We're delighted to be bringing the Magic Moments song back to our TV adverts for the first time in over a decade, and wanted to give everyone the chance to have their very own musical magic moment. Quality Street is synonymous with a British Christmas so what better way to celebrate this year than with one of Britain's very own home grown stars!'
