Alexandra Burke has been texting Usher

The 21-year-old singer - who has been linked to a string of high-profile men in recent months - confessed she has been sending messages to the R&B heartthrob.

She told BANG Showbiz: "We've shared a couple of texts and a couple of calls and he's really cool. I'm going to see him at the T4 On The Beach concert in July, so that's cool."

But it would appear Alexandra - who won UK talent show 'The X Factor' in 2008 - only has eyes for one 'guy'.

Speaking at the launch of Samsung's Galaxy S phone at London's Altitude bar on Wednesday night (16.06.10), the 'Bad Boys' singer revealed if she could text anyone, it would be her "dog Alfie".

However, there is certainly one man who is very influential in her life - Simon Cowell.

Alexandra wanted to shoot her latest video in the UK so her fans could be involved, but Simon persuaded her to shoot it in Los Angeles.

She explained: "The video is now not going to be in the UK. This song was meant to be but I'm now doing it in Los Angeles. It wasn't my decision though - simply, it was Simon Cowell's - but next time it will be here!"
