Alexandra Burke is feeling homesick.
The 'X Factor' winner - who arrived in California two months ago to record her debut album - is so lonely in the US she has flown out her older sister Sheniece to keep her company.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Alexandra is really enjoying putting her album together but doesn't know many people in Los Angeles. She's finding the experience a little isolating so was relieved Sheniece agreed to travel over for a visit."
Following her win on the British TV talent show in December, the 'Hallelujah' singer signed a £3.5 million record deal in the US. She was snapped up by Epic - an offshoot of Sony - for a five album deal.
The 20-year-old star said: "I would love to crack the US. After seeing Coldplay take away the awards at the Grammys I was so inspired."
Alexandra is not the only British star to feel homesick in Los Angeles. It was recently revealed Leona Lewis - who won the 'X Factor' in 2006 - is feeling isolated in Hollywood and is finding it hard being separated from her friends and family in the UK, especially boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa.
A source said: "Although Lou came out to visit her recently, the long distance is taking its toll. "She has no natural network of friends where she is now and rarely sees her mentor Simon Cowell. His schedule is so busy, the two don't have much time to meet."
