Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz have reportedly taken on a massive real estate project.
The musical couple have been married since 2010 and they share two children together. The 34-year-old Girl on Fire songstress is also stepmother to her husband's three other kids from previous relationships.
And it seems their huge family has created the need to build an entirely new property from the ground up.
"They want more outdoor space .?.?. a bigger pool. They love having family over and entertaining their kids," a source told Page Six.
Alicia and Swizz currently reside in a 25,000 sq ft mansion located in Englewood, New Jersey, which they have listed for sale at the price of $14.9 million. The property, which was previously owned by Eddie Murphy, boasts amazing features including an indoor pool, recording studio, bowling alley and movie theatre. The fresh build property they are constructing is another mansion in New Jersey. Details of the blueprints are under wraps for now, but it's believed Alicia and Swizz are creating an epic estate from scratch. Before the couple moved into the estate they live in now, the family home was a penthouse located in the SoHo neighbourhood of New York City, a glamorous property that was previously owned by Lenny Kravitz.
Alicia is celebrating major relaunches in many areas of life right now, including her career.
In July the songstress released a song called 28 Thousand Days as part of a future Levi's jean ad campaign and the musician couldn't help but tease fans about the other professional projects she secretly has on the go.
"This is just the beginning believe me! We have so much to talk about! Live everyday like its your last!! #28000days (sic)," Alicia wrote on Twitter the day of the tune's release, seemingly alluding to a body of musical work she is currently crafting behind the scenes.
