Alicia Keys performed at a special concert last night (September 25) at the foot of the Great Wall Of China.

Thousands fans gathered at the venue, north of Bejing, for the gig which also featured performances by Cyndi Lauper and Boyz II Men.

Keys, dressed in a leather jacket and wearing a hat low over her face, played eight songs on the stage, next to one of the wall's immense gatehouses.

According to BBC News, she told the crowd: “Thank you for having me at the Great Wall."

Some of the proceeds from the show will go to a children's charity, according to promoters.

During her set, Lauper descended into the audience causing people to stand up before police ordered them to sit down again.
