The Empire State of Mind singer and husband Swizz Beatz welcomed son Egypt Daoud last week.
Writing on her personal Twitter page, the star said having a baby was 'bliss'.
She wrote: 'There is no word to properly describe LOVE, to describe BLISS, to a express a FEELING like this!!! Thank U 4 your love, support and prayers!'
And she wasn’t the only one to gush about the new arrival. Beatz also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support. He said: 'I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life.'
