Alicia Keys is sad about Randy Jackson's departure from 'American Idol'.
The judge has announced he won't return for a new season of the Fox show and Alicia says she will miss watching Randy, who has been on the panel from the beginning.
She told In Touch magazine: 'That's so sad. I think he's amazing. I really love him a lot... for lots of years.'
When asked if she would consider joining the panel as a replacement for Randy, Alicia - who has son Egypt, two, with husband Swizz Beatz - claimed she doesn't have time in her schedule for 'American Idol'.
She said: 'I don't know if I'd want to be a judge.
'I'm about to go to Europe for my tour and then I have Brazil and Rock In Rio with Justin Timberlake, which will be crazy... and Asia and Australia so, that's going to take me right on up through January.'
Randy, who was the only original judge on the panel of the show recently revealed he made the decision not to return next season because he wants to focus on his other interests.
He said: 'Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season,' he says. 'I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It's been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.'
