Animal Collective are pleased to announce the premiere of their new music video for Applesauce.
Directed by filmmaker Gaspar Noé ("Enter The Void," "Irreversible"), the video stars Lindsey Wixson and features elements from Paul Sharits' 1968 short film "N:O:T:H:I:N:G". It is intended to be viewed in complete darkness for maximum effect. Watch the video HERE.
"Applesauce" is the latest single from the band's 10th album, Centipede Hz. The band's first record since 2007's Strawberry Jam to feature all four original band members, Avey Tare, Panda Bear, Geologist and Deakin, Centipede Hz was hailed by critics as a return to the band's experimental roots. The album can be ordered via the Animal Collective webstore here.
Animal Collective will be on tour throughout North American this spring, and will return to Europe in May to perform at Primavera Sound, Barcelona, Spain on the 23rd and to close the main stage at Field Day, London on the 25th.
Animal Collective will also play Field Day and Primavera Sound.
