Jennifer Aniston has reportedly asked Adele to sing at her wedding reception.
The actress is set to tie the knot with fiancé Justin Theroux soon, and there has been a lot of speculation about the occasion. It has now been claimed Jennifer wants her friend Adele to perform a song on her big day.
"Jen mentioned that the day would be 'around her and Justin's anniversary' in May. She told Adele she should come along, and that she'd be honoured if she'd sing at the reception," a source told British magazine Look. "I'm sure Adele was really flattered and said she's think about it."
Jennifer and Adele first met in May 2009 when they both appeared on US talk show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Adele later revealed she was so overwhelmed when she saw Jennifer in the restroom that she accidentally called her Rachel – the character she played in Friends.
The pals then caught up when they both attended the Academy Awards ceremony last month.
"Adele absolutely adores Jen. And the feeling is mutual," a source explained. "Adele is a huge Friends fan, so has always been excited about getting to know Jen. They've remained in contact and Adele has been promising to go round to Jen's house for months. So they were pleased to see each other at the Oscars."
During their meeting at the Oscars, it believed the star bonded over "wedding plans and baby stories".
Adele gave birth to her son Angelo in October last year and is a devoted mother. Jennifer, 44, has made no secret of her desire to have children and loved hearing how Adele was coping with parenting.
"Adele is such a proud mum. Jen's been quite open in the past about being broody and wanted to hear all the details of how the first four months have been for her friend," an insider revealed. "Adele admitted that it's exhausting but totally worth it."
