The Canadian group ' who picked up Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (13.02.11), and International Album and International Group at last night's (15.02.11) BRIT awards - have confirmed they hope to find some time to record new tracks ahead of their European concerts in the summer.
Frontman Win Butler said: "We're going to write for about a month, a month and a half and then we're going to play - we'll be back in Europe in the summer."
The 'Month of May' hitmakers are pleased that their award-winning album 'The Suburbs' has brought the band a lot of new fans.
Win added in an interview with XFM Radio: "For us it's something that is really exciting, when younger kids get into the band because that's the time when we are most open and music can be so powerful and affective, it's definitely a very humbling thing."
Earlier this week, Win admitted the group hadn't expected to win the prestigious Grammy honour because they were up against major mainstream acts such as Eminem, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
He said: "It honestly never even crossed my mind, at all. The heavy-hitter vote was divided.'
