Arcade Fire have been forced to cancel an upcoming gig in Lisbon due to “security concerns” arising from a planned NATO summit in the city.
The band were due to play the Atlantic Pavilion on November 18, but have been told that the venue is no longer available. The NATO summit is scheduled to run from November 19-20.
Arcade Fire's manager said they had offered to bring the date of the show forward by a day, but were told that it wasn't possible.
"The band are disappointed to be forced into this situation but there's nothing more we can do," manager Scott Rodger told Reuters.
Arcade Fire have promised to refund all of fans' tickets for the show.
