Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry joined The National onstage last night (November 30) as the band played the second of their shows at London's O2 Academy Brixton.
The multi-instrumentalist made numerous appearances with the band, helping out on songs including 'Sorrow' and 'Anyone's Ghost'.
During the show The National singer Matt Berninger caused excitable ripples in the crowd when he jokingly announced that Arcade Fire were set to play the Barfly venue later in the evening – but insisted he was "kidding" straight afterwards.
Arcade Fire kick off their own UK tour tonight at the capital's O2 Arena.
