Aretha Franklin wants to make it clear...she didn't have cancer
Throughout Aretha Franklin's recent health crisis, there was near constant speculation about the condition from which she was suffering. Franklin, very tight lipped about her private life, is yet to say what it was, but she is adamant about one thing. She does not have cancer.
Franklin told Access Hollywood "Well, there was just so many wild things out there and just so many things being said that weren't true. I just felt I needed to address it a little."
It was back on December 8 that Detroit Fox Affiliate WJBK talked to a member of Franklin's family who confirmed that she was suffering from pancreatic cancer. Franklin now says that nobody in her family had ever told her that they made the statement and that it was not true.
