Aretha Franklin is raring to get back on the road.
The Queen of Soul told a local Detroit TV station that "I'm feeling wonderful, very good. I can't wait to get on my tour bus and get back out there."
Her first official dates are June 3 to 5 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and there are plans to reschedule all of the shows that she missed when she became ill late last year.
Franklin also thanked everyone who reached out to her during her illness. "I just want to thank everyone who sent me lots of cards, beautiful flowers and who have given me their very strong support verbally and physically and, more than all, those who said a prayer for me."
There will be a special tribute to Franklin tonight to open the Grammy Awards and another tribute show in May. She said it will be "a network special with a lot of artists coming in to do a tribute for me."
