The 68-year-old singer – who underwent surgery last month for an undisclosed complaint – insists her medical problems are “resolved”, despite reports she is battling pancreatic cancer.
She told TV talk show host Wendy Williams: "My health is superb."
The ‘Respect’ singer also revealed she is planning a holiday to a “fabulous beach” but is unable to travel just yet.
She added: "I do have two more weeks of downtime before I can get out."
Doctors told Aretha last month that she must recuperate for eight weeks, but she hasn't ruled out work, also telling the show that she "absolutely" planned to reschedule all of the tour dates she was forced to cancel when she fell ill.
Aretha recently revealed she is recovering slowly from her problems and hopes to get back to full health soon.
She said: "I feel great. The doctors say I can do whatever I feel like I am up to do. Of course, that doesn't mean any concerts or anything like that. But I can do things around the house, and today I am just piddling around the house. It is good to sit up, too. I also might make one or two business calls. Not too much, just a teeny bit."
