Leave it to Conan O'Brien to tweet out the first set of spoilers from the new season of "Arrested Development."
"Here's the 1st official photo from the new Arrested Development on @Netflix. Spoiler alert: I'm an amazing actor," the talk show host tweeted with a photo attached.
The picture that O'Brien linked to was of himself, his co-host Andy Richter and Jason Bateman standing behind the scenes of what looks like the set of "Conan." As this is the "first official photo," we can only assume that everyone in the picture is in character, and if we know "Arrested Development," we would bet that O'Brien and Richter will be appearing as some skewed version of themselves.
That also means that this is our first official look at the fearless leader of the Bluth family, Michael Bluth, played by Bateman. We haven't seen Michael in any official capacity since 2006, when the cult favorite comedy was unceremoniously canceled by Fox.
O'Brien and Richter aren't the only celebrities expected to make appearances when the new episodes of "Arrested Development" hit Netflix sometime next year. Series regulars Liza Minnelli and Carl Weathers have already confirmed that they'll be reprising their roles, and Isla Fisher and Terry Crews have also signed on for guest appearances.
The new season of "Arrested Development" is expected to appear on Netflix, perhaps all at once, sometime in early 2013. Some rumors have pegged that date as occurring sometime in the spring, but we will have to wait for further confirmation. Series creator Mitch Hurwitz has previously said that the planned ten episodes may not be enough to tell the stories they want to and that more episodes could be added.
