Children born around Christmas time often feel like they have missed out with the amount of presents they receive - but not the son of Pete Wentz and Ashlee, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, who doesn't have to worry.
Speaking about Bronx, who turned two on November 20, at an Alice & Olivia toy drive in Hollywood, the singer told People.com: 'He just had his birthday, and he got a lot of gifts.
'He'll still have a great Christmas, and he's really into Thomas the Train, but we have enough Thomas, so we do not need that this year!'
The 26-year-old added: 'For my husband and I, it's nice to start those traditions now. What we're doing with the tree, what we did over Thanksgiving... we actually had an amazing Thanksgiving with Peter's family.'
And Ashlee's holiday plans may well include sister Jessica's new fiancé Eric Johnson.
Simpson added: 'She [Jessica] is genuinely very, very happy, and you go to their house and it's warm and cozy, and it's a good feeling. And he's just a good guy.'
The pop star thinks Jessica, 30, will make a good mum if her and Eric ever had kids.
She added: 'We were actually over there yesterday, and Jessica is a wonderful Godmother, and aunt, so I know she would be a wonderful mother.'
