Babyshambles at Brixton

Pete Doherty was joined by his friend Wolfman on stage Tuesday (October 11) as Babyshambles made a successful return to Brixton Academy almost eight months after their last show at the venue descended into chaos.

The pair performed a duet of the track named after Wolfman together during a 70-minute set which culminated with Doherty diving into the crowd, before he returned to the stage with his shirt in tatters, for closing number 'My Darling Clementine'.

Throughout most of the show the singer remained fairly composed and said very little as the band performed a series of tracks from their forthcoming debut album 'Down In Albion', including 'Pipe Down', 'Stix And Stones', and 'Albion'.

The biggest cheers were reserved for Top Ten hit 'Killamangiro' and 'Fuck Forever', which saw the crowd singing the words back to Doherty.

The former Libertine was then joined by Wolfman, who was greeted with huge cheers when he arrived on stage during the encore and took up the vocal duties on 'Wolfman'.

Doherty meanwhile preoccupied himself with the crowd, lifting a girl up in the air while she guzzled a can of beer.
