Babyshambles are pledging to stop missing gigs starting with this weekend's Leeds and Reading festivals.
Guitarist Patrick Walden says the band have now got their act together, reports XFM.
They are also now focused on completing their debut album.
"We met up, we said some things and we're all moving in the right direction again," explained Walden.
"From now on we're not going to say we'll play unless it's definite, definite, definite. The only reason we won't be there is if we're struck down by lightning, because there's only so far you can take flakiness.
"It's OK if it's the Rhythm Factory on a Tuesday night, but with big gigs it's not fair. I understand why people always ask us if we're really going to turn up, especially after the last few weeks.
