Overview
Parlophone have played down reports that they have signed Pete Doherty.
Newspapers suggested the former Libertine had signed with the label for around £1 million.
However the home of the likes of Lily Allen and Coldplay have distanced themselves from those stories, though have admitted they had been in "talks" with Doherty.
A spokesperson for the label issued the following brief statement: "We are looking forward to making a great record with Babyshambles."
