Overview
Babyshambles and My Bloody Valentine are amongst the first names to be confirmed for an appearance at Benicassim next year.
They will be joined on the bill for the Spanish festival by The Rumple Strips, as organisers of 2008's events start to roll out the line-ups.
Benicassim 2008 takes place on July 17+18+19+20, with many more names expected to be announced in the coming weeks and months.
Meanwhile, The Chemical Brothers are the first act to be unveiled for the Heineken Open'er gathering in Poland next year.
The dance act are expected to be one of the main draws at the festival, which takes place on July 04+05+06.
Tickets for both Benicassim and Open'er are on-sale now.
