Featuring major international festival acts headlining on the Friday Saturday and Sunday, together with serious local talent including the winning band from the Mooncalf Battle of the Bands, Moonfest is sure to be the new festival to invest in. With acts ranging from Pete Doherty to Brandon Block, Australian Pink Floyd to Heaven 17, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Moonfest kicks off with Moondance on the Friday 29th of August and includes some of the leading players on the House, funky house and old school dance music scene. Legendary DJ and reality TV star Brandon Block will be banging out the best in house and funky house.
Expect special guest appearances from, Spandau Ballet's Steve Norman on saxophone, JOE "Bongo" Becket on percussion, the amazing vocal talents of the Artful Dodger Robbie Craig and the distinctive voice of Shelly Preston from the original Bucks Fizz.
On the Saturday, 30th August, it's back to good, old, dirty rock n roll with man of the moment Pete Doherty. He'll be playing hits from the Libertines and Babyshambles back catalogue, making Moonfest an absolute must for any true Pete fan. Headlining will be the truly awesome Australian Pink Floyd, playing all your favourite Floyd tracks including Another Brick in the Wall, Money and Shine on you Crazy Diamond.
Then on the Sunday prepare to go back to the 80's, with a whole evening of the very best artists of the era. Acts confirmed so far include Shakatak, Heaven 17, Imagination, Curiosity Killed the Cat and headlining will be Go West!! So dust off the shoulder pads and pop on the leg warmers for Moonfest's eighties extravaganza!
