On Sunday 21st July, the Basement Jaxx headline gig at the Summer Series at Somerset House will be streamed live on Twitter by American Express.
Streamed via @AmexUK, the entire gig will be live streamed directly into a tweet, also marking a first for the band and giving fans watching at home a front row pass for the sold out gig.
Utilising an integrated video player supported by Sound Tribe Live, the stream will be embedded into a tweet and taken directly to users' feeds. The expandable player adapts to work on multiple devices, including mobile, desktop, tablet and Smart TV.
The stream, directed by former Top of the Pops Producer Chris Cowey, gives Basement Jaxx fans a chance to experience this hotly anticipated gig from wherever they are.
Audiences watching online, as well as those in the crowd, will also have the chance to be a part of the show by requesting a 'shout out' via Twitter using #BasementJaxxLive. The band will select up to 10 requests that will be read out during the gig.
Felix Buxton from Basement Jaxx says: "We are excited to be involved in such an innovative project and to get the opportunity to play our songs, including a few from the forthcoming album, to a truly global audience. Our music draws from styles all over the world and we have fans in many countries so it's exciting that we can all share an experience, irrelevant of any boundaries. I guess this is the first gig of our world peace tour."
The stream will be delivered by Sound Tribe Live and supported through an integrated PR, social and media plan.
