Bat for Lashes made a triumphant return this year with her third critically lauded album, The Haunted Man. With praise pouring in from all corners of the press, as well as hitting countless end of year lists from The Sunday Times and The Guardian, to the NME, Q and DJ magazine, Natasha Khan maintained her place as one of the UK's most talented and best loved artists.
After releasing one of the tracks of 2012 with the stunning 'Laura', bringing huge venues to a complete stand still during the recent tour, Bat for Lashes will release the new single 'A Wall' on 18 February.
With her signature blend of the electronic and the organic, 'A Wall' is "a declaration of doe-eyed devotion that mixes cotton cloud synths with Talk Talk-tinged melodies" (NME) and peaks with Natasha imploring "just sit still, does it hurt, does it hurt".
The video is directed once again by Noel Paul who was also at the helm for 'Laura' and 'All Your Gold', and features Natasha donning a blonde wig while getting up-close and personal with the actor Harry Treadaway (Control, Fish Tank). We follow the pair as they make their way through the night, ending up at a party (and if you look closely, you will see the name 'Laura' in gold glitter letters) with the look and feel of a David Lynch dream sequence.
Bat for Lashes will co-headline Field Day in Victoria Park, London with Animal Collective on 25 May 2013.
