Billy Joel has checked out of rehab.
He left the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, early Sunday morning, according to his publicist. Joel checked in for treatment of alcohol abuse last month. Joel is now back with his wife, Kate Lee, at their home on Long Island, New York. In June 2002, Joel spent about two weeks at a hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut.
